An advanced drill to cure your slice

Ready to level up? An alignment stick and a towel force you to shallow the club, swing from the inside and finally beat the slice.

Here is a drill to cure your slice. Fair warning: it is a tricky one, so it is probably better suited to more advanced players.
Stand an alignment stick up just outside the golf ball. Now if you come over the top, you will whack the stick in half, so the only way to miss it is to deliver the club from the inside. The catch is that you cannot just lean back to avoid the stick. Instead, you want to shallow the club a little on the way down. To check your contact, lay a towel on the ground just behind the ball as well. Take your setup, miss the stick, miss the towel, and you are all but guaranteed a clean strike from the inside, maybe even with a little draw on it. It is difficult, but it is an absolute gem of a drill for fixing that over-the-top move and beating the slice. Good luck practicing.
